Heritage and History of the Yukon Goldrush, while paddling under the midnight sun.
The first night you get to spend at our rustic and cozy wilderness lodge. We will pick you up from either the airport or downtown depending on previous travel arrangements. Over a delicious dinner we will discuss the trip ahead and make sure that everyone has all the gear needed.
The real adventure begins with a motor boat shuttle across Lake Laberge. At the north end of the lake, we will have a quick bite for lunch before we load up the canoes and start paddling towards Hootalinqua. a trading post during the Gold Rush Era. Depending on river and weather conditions we will spend our first night just before or at Hootalinqua, either way we will have some time to explore the site as well as the steamship graveyard close by, where you can get your own iconic picture of the SS-Evelin. We will be spending a total of 4 nights along the shores of the Yukon before we reach Carmacks. Lots of great fishing opportunities along the way, but no worries, even if you don’t get the big one we will spoil you with great camp meals along the way.
After a 2 hours shuttle ride from Carmacks you will get to spend one more night at our lodge. Just enough time to plan your next Yukon adventure.
