Highlights

We will pick you up at your accommodation and bring you to our shop where we gear up for the day. (Option to meet us at the shop if you prefer). We have a large selection of boots and crampons and will make sure to find a pair that fits you well for the climb ahead. Harnesses, helmets, and ice axes are also provided.

Travelling to the waterfall involves a one hour drive and a 45 min - 1 hr hike.

Our guides are experienced locals who love ice climbing and are eager to share this unique northern activity with our guests. If you are new to ice climbing, your guide will give you some pro tips on basic ice climbing techniques and a safety demonstration.

We begin with a short vertical climb of approximately 60 feet. This is your chance to get a feel for swinging the axe, planting your feet, and moving your body up the ice.

The 500 ft waterfall above our “practice route” is the main attraction. The ice cascades in a series of frozen steps, giving us plenty of natural opportunities for rests, snacks, and photo opportunities. With each section of the climb, the beautiful Yukon wilderness surrounding us is revealed.

This is a full day tour. Be prepared for a 7-8 hour day including transportation, gearing up, hiking in, and climbing. The climbing portion of the day is roughly 3-4 hours, with many variables depending on fitness level, snow and ice conditions, and travel time.
