We had a great day with Fabien, Raphaelle and little Rose. Their location is beautiful, the terrain was varied and the dogs were amazing. Snowmobiling was super fun for the whole family. Thanks so much Fabien and Raphaelle. It was a pleasure meeting you and thank you for a wonderful day!
Raphaelle and Fabien looked after us extremely well on our 6-day ski tour. They are both extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the Yukon wilderness. Raphaelle guided us throughout the tour whilst Fabien joined us at the camps, either by snow-mobile or dog-sled. The camps were comfortable and well set up, ready to cope with the extremely cold temperatures.
The food was delicious and really healthy. In addition to the meals we were provided with plenty of tasty snacks and drinks.
Raphaelle assessed our ability on Day 1 and then we headed into the wilderness on Day 2, to return at the end of Day 6. On the first and last nights, we stayed in a lovely, cozy hut. We were welcomed into their home for meals on the first and last days. The tour explored the stunning landscape around Fish Lake.
I highly recommend The Call of the Yukon for a ski tour. You are welcomed into their family and looked after throughout.
Brilliant place to book if you want to go snowmobiling on a quiet peaceful track with a wonderful husband and wife team as hosts Fabian, who takes you out on the run, and Raphael who picks you up from your hotel and drops you off afterwards.
3 hours of adventure and fun as you ride on the frozen Fish Lake, view the ice fishing spots as you go along and get to view the mountainous snow capped scenery on the way!
Thank you both Fabian and Raphael for making our experience in Yukon fascinating, amazing and inspirational!
It was lovely to meet you both and your beautiful family!
Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome!
We are so thankful and blessed to have shared this experience with Fabien, Raphaelle, and Rose and their pack. Amazing experience and we learned so much! From start to finish we had an awesome time and they shared so much of themselves, such caring, genuine people. Together with the dogs, they are living their best life!!! Thank you again for letting us share in your life experience!! Amazing!
Outstanding!! I can’t thank Bertrand, Julie, Alex, and their four legged companions enough for an experience of a lifetime. My husband and I, and I expect also our two good friends whom we travelled with, will be talking about our 5 day/4 night dog sledding adventure for many years to come.
Beautiful tranquil landscapes, gorgeous friendly dogs, and the BEST guide and hosts you can imagine. And to top it off, we were privileged to witness the magic of the Northern lights on our last night.
Dog sledding with Boreal Kennels was truly a unique and authentic experience and we loved every minute of it. Going with Boreal was a brilliant choice and I would love to do this again some time with Bertrand and his team. I highly recommend a dog sledding trip with Boreal Kennels to anyone who has an adventurous spirit. What more can I say? Fantastic!!
Without a doubt, if I had to choose a company again to do my tours, I would always be with them. They are a wonderful family, they make you feel part of them, they listen to you, and they do their best to make your trip a unique and wonderful experience. They made every moment worthwhile! The best company in all of Whitehorse with which you can be sure that you will have enough time for your activities, without hassles or anything for them. The most important thing at that moment is you! So do not hesitate!
All I can say is what we experienced is going to stay with me forever. I fell in love with the beauty of Yukon and got to experience the scenic views, snow on my face, and cute huskies. It was a complete adrenaline rush the whole time and I could not stop talking about the experience.
Thank you Bertrand for being so kind and giving both me and my partner an experience we will cherish forever.
We had the pleasure to take part in the Equinox ice wall climb and zip line excursion and it was one of our best experiences while visiting Whitehorse. They wall is right next to the Takhini Hot Springs. Our guide that day was Chris who is the owner and he was amazing. Very helpful and extremely friendly. We felt safe in everything we did.
The ice wall climb can be challenging but Chris sets you up for success. In between climbs he had warm tea for us to enjoy as we relaxed. He was very informative about not only ice wall climbing but with any other questions we had about the area. After we were done we went down the zip line across the frozen lake. The view over the lake is pretty amazing and when you zip line down it you get a great rush.
Again this was a great part of our trip and we felt like we did something that we would be able to do few other places.
Highly Recommended!
I first climbed with Equinox three years ago when I signed up for a private Intro to Ice Climbing class at the ice tower as something fun to do on a Yukon holiday. I've returned each winter since, bringing friends to climb the ice towers and hiring Chris as a private guide for back country ice climbing. They offer great instruction for kids and adults and there are several beautiful local ice climbing areas for day trips. They have rental equipment available.
We spent 3 hours ice climbing. First time for all of us. Equinox team is very professional and friendly. We spent a very good time climbing with them and learning about their passion. I would go back again for sure!
Just spent and excellent afternoon with Equinox climbing the towers at Mt. Sima, Whitehorse. We were three kids ages 10, 12, and 15. Adults had a hoot watching, this time. Kids were all busy doing something for the whole two hours. A great introduction to ice climbing and ziplining!
We were a party of 7 who did the "Fly & Enjoy" 6-day canoe trip down the Yukon River from Whitehorse to Carmacks. It was an unforgettable, magical experience in the remote wilderness, miles from nowhere. The float plane flights were an added excitement. Thomas was an excellent, efficient guide - being an authority on the Yukon River and on local history. We felt very safe in his hands even though the water level was exceptionally high. The camp sites were amazing. One offered viewing of a grizzly bear on the opposite bank which we watched for several hours. All the equipment was in first class condition, and Thomas's bush cooking was superb. Thank you, Thomas!
